The Við Djúpið Music Festival was first held in Ísafjörður, Westfjords of Iceland, during summer solstice in 2003 and was, in its time, Iceland’s most significant chamber music festival. After a hiatus of several years, it has awakened from dormancy, and the collaboration with Orchester im Treppenhaus is a key element in rebuilding its international reputation.
